Michigan law allows the possession and reasonable use of a device that uses electro-muscular disruption technology, by certain individuals, if they have been trained in the use, effects, and risks of the device, and then only while performing his or her official duties.
Reasonable Force Training provides certified training for Court Officers, Probation Officers, Private Security Police (PA 330), Licensed Private Investigators, Bail Agents, Corrections & Jail Personnel, Law Enforcement, College and University Public Safety Officers, Aircraft Pilots and Crew. Michigan law does not allow a private citizen to possess or purchase a TASER® device at this time.

TASER® User/Operator Certification
This course is designed to provide training on the use of TASER brand electronic control devices. Force options and decision making, tactics, medical issues, weapon maintenance and personal safety are just a few of the topics covered in this workshop. TASER devices save lives and are generically known as electronic control devices. TASER brand devices are among the safest use-of-force options available today. TASER systems use proprietary technology to safely incapacitate dangerous, combative or high-risk individuals who pose a risk to law enforcement and security officers, innocent citizens or themselves. TASER devices have been proven statistically to dramatically reduce injury rates to suspects and officers.

Advanced TASER M26 and TASER X26 Course Outline
Class Description
OVERVIEW: This class will cover the techniques for proper deployment of and certification of
instructors of end users in the use of the TASER® brand less-lethal weapons entitled the ADVANCED
TASER M26 and the TASER X26.
METHOD / MEDIA: This class will be taught by the lecture / demonstration method.
EVALUATION: Topics from this class will be evaluated via written tests and via performance checklist
during the practical application conducted during the class.
Agenda
TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Given person(s) to be trained and a lesson plan, instruct
person(s) in the proper deployment and safety of the TASER.
ENABLING LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Without the aid of references, in accordance with the
detailed lesson plan and manual, a certified-trained instructor will accomplish the following:
